According to a report at the Times Union, a flour and grain milling company based in Denver has finalized an agreement with Cargill to take over operations of a grain elevator at the Port of Albany, NY.
The elevator and related equipment will help Ardent Mills serve bakers, food manufacturers and other retailers, the company's Albany plant manager Sean Gager said in a statement. The company operates a mill at the port and is co-owned by Cargill and several other companies
The Times Union reported earlier this month that Cargill planned to stop using concrete elevators at the facility and transfer its lease to Ardent Mills.
