Mark Mezger, owner of Farmers Grain Elevator, has been formally recognized as the 51st Annual Agri-Business Person of the Year by the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, reports the Daily Democrat.
Farmers Grain Elevator is a privately owned grain company in Yolo, CA.
Originally serving as a scale house, it eventually became a storage facility and grain purchasing center for local growers. As customer demands grew, Farmers Grain Elevator saw the need to provide quality transportation services for the grower’s harvested crop and in 1971 established Mezger Trucking Inc.
