United Grain Terminal Damaged in North Dakota

Grain continues to spill out at Bucyrus facility

On July 22, a grain terminal owned by United Grain Corp. near Bucyrus, ND, experienced structural damage at its base, reports the Adams County Record.

Grain has continued to spill from the terminal and the structural damage has steadily worsened. The cause of the damage is unknown at this time.

United Grain released the following to the Adams County Record:

"On Monday, July 22, Vancouver, WA-based United Grain Corporation’s Bucyrus, ND grain terminal experienced an incident to one of the concrete bins on the premises.

Our employees followed safety procedures and the facility was evacuated safely with no injuries. A team of engineers and construction staff are on site assessing the stability of the bin.

The facility will remain closed until the structure can be fully evaluated to ensure its safety."
