Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) announced that its 2025 Holiday Train raised more than $2 million and collected over 175,000 pounds of food to support local food banks across Canada and the United States. The annual event, which brings together families and neighbors, embodies the spirit of the holidays by combining generosity with community connection.

Since its inception in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised over $28.3 million and gathered more than 5.6 million pounds of food for food banks in both countries. This year’s journey included 194 live music shows across six Canadian provinces and 13 U.S. states, featuring performances by artists such as Barenaked Ladies, Tyler Shaw and American Authors.

Keith Creel, CPKC president and CEO, praised the ongoing community support. “Year after year, the CPKC Holiday Train proves that generosity and community spirit know no bounds,” he said. “The incredible support we receive reminds us of what is possible when we come together with kindness and purpose.”

The holiday spirit extended to Mexico as well, where CPKC operated the Tren Navideño, a festively decorated train visiting communities across the country. This tradition, which began in 2010, continues to bring joy and support to Mexican communities during the holiday season.
