Compeer Financial is launching “Rooted & Rising,” a three-part event series in 2026 designed to amplify rural leadership and foster collaboration among stakeholders invested in rural community success.
The series kicks off with a webinar on May 6 featuring Ben Winchester, a rural sociologist from the University of Minnesota known for his work rewriting the rural narrative. Winchester will share insights on the economic, social and demographic shifts shaping rural America.
“No single organization can solve rural challenges alone,” said Jase Wagner, Compeer’s CEO. “This work takes partnership. We bring capital, expertise and connections, but real progress happens when we’re working alongside others who are just as invested in rural communities.”
Following the May 6 webinar, Compeer will host a second webinar on June 10 and conclude with an in-person event September 14-16 in Owatonna, Minnesota. The series emphasizes shared rural responsibility, encouraging community leaders, governments, nonprofits, educators, healthcare providers and businesses to collaborate toward rural vitality.
