Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has acquired a deep-water bulk marine export terminal in Quebec City from Societe En Commandite Terminal Grains, previously operated by Sollio Agriculture since 2021. This strategic move significantly bolsters P&H's grain handling and transportation network across Canada.
The terminal, situated in a key eastern shipping corridor at the Port of Quebec, is expected to enhance P&H's ability to serve customers coast to coast. As part of the acquisition, P&H has established a new commercial relationship with QSL International Ltd., leveraging their expertise in the Port of Quebec to support the terminal's integration into P&H's national supply chain.
John Heimbecker, CEO of P&H, stated, "The addition of a Quebec City terminal aligns with our long-term growth strategy, allowing us to offer more reliable and efficient service to our customers while optimizing our logistics capabilities across the country."
The facility's current employees will remain in place, ensuring continuity of operations and expertise. P&H has committed to maintaining operational standards set by the Port of Quebec and working collaboratively with local communities and partners.
This acquisition reinforces P&H's position as a leader in the Canadian agribusiness sector, furthering its mission to deliver innovation, excellence, and dependable service across its operations.
