Bartlett Milling to Expand Operations in North Carolina

Company expansion will result in new production line at the Wilson Mills facility

Bartlett Milling is expanding its mill operations in Johnston County, North Carolina, investing an estimated $26 million to $28 million in the project, reports WRAL.

Bartlett, which is headquartered in Kansas City, MO, and operates a facility in Statesville, NC, that manufactures animal feed and distribution centers in Goldsboro and Shelby, plans to hire at least five new employees.

The company produces commercial patent flours for bakeries, restaurants, and institutional food service operations like schools and hospitals. Its current Wilson Mills facility was acquired from Midstate Mills, Inc., in 2007. The company expansion will result in opening a new production line at the facility.

Bartlett, a Savage Co., is a diverse, growth-oriented agribusiness. Its principal businesses are grain merchandising, flour milling, and feed manufacturing. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, it has facilities and offices in nine states and Mexico.
