These days, the speed, security and ease of online shopping makes the notion of strolling through brick-and-mortar stores sometimes unthinkable. Amazon is my No. 1 destination for e-commerce, but now even grocery stores, Walmart, and large club stores make it all too easy for me to stay out of shopping centers. Recently though, I’ve been lured back through the doors of a few storefronts because of their giant “Going out of Business” sales. I’m talking about major department stores and decades-old brands unloading their wares at up to 75% off. One could argue these store closings are due to our culture’s penchant for online shopping, but what can I say? I love a good deal!

If you’re like me and can’t resist a good deal, wait until you hear about Feed & Grain LIVE 2019, scheduled for Jan. 8-10, 2019, in Altoona, IA. In its third year, LIVE 2019 promises to offer high-quality education, networking, speakers, accommodations and entertainment at an incredible price. The early bird registration rate is only $99.

Taking attendee feedback from the previous two years into account, we’ve crafted the optimal schedule — 2.5 days of educational programming offering hands-on opportunities, classroom-style learning, a panel discussion and keynote addresses, balanced between relaxed networking experiences (including two evening receptions where we’ll be giving away cash prizes!).

And as the No. 1 information resource serving the feed, grain and processing sectors, you can count on the quality of a Feed & Grain event. High-caliber speakers from industry associations, regulatory agencies and academia will headline LIVE 2019, just as they have over the last two years.

Attendees will appreciate the easy drive to Altoona, IA, or the quick flight to Des Moines, and the fantastic room rate at Prairie Meadows Hotel and Casino. We’ve also shifted the dates to mid-winter. Attendee feedback said December through February is the best time to hold a meeting for feed and grain industry professionals, and we listened because this event is tailor-made for you.
You can read more about LIVE 2019 on pg. 58, including a tentative schedule, plus hear what a LIVE 2017 attendee had to say about his experience at the show.

Remember, the worst deal is the one you let slip away, so act now. Log on to feedandgrain.com/subscribe and sign up for Industry Watch to get email updates about LIVE 2019.
