Diamond V Hires Monogastric Health Research Director

Tammi Epp has more than 20 years of technical and business experience

Diamond V continues to expand its research and technical support capabilities with Tammi Epp, DVM, PhD, DACVSMR, who is joining the company as Director, Monogastric Health Research & Technical Support. Dr. Epp brings more than 20 years of technical and business experience to the team in the areas of veterinary medicine and research.

“I am happy to announce Tammi has joined the Diamond V team,” says Don McIntyre, PhD, PAS, Director, Global Research & Technical Service for Diamond V. “In this new role, she will have responsibility for monogastric health research and technical support, specializing in Diamond V pet and equine initiatives. She will also help to expand our expertise in physiology and immunity focusing on companion animals but supporting our work towards optimal immunity in all animal species.”

Dr. Epp earned her BS in Animal Science/Pre-Vet, a dual MS/DVM, and a PhD at Kansas State University, specializing in canine and equine sports medicine and exercise physiology. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and licensed to practice veterinary medicine in multiple states. Dr. Epp is also certified in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic, equine rehabilitation, and equine massage therapy.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, and the American Physiological Society, among others. Prior to joining Diamond V, Dr. Epp served as Director of Research and Development and Company Veterinarian for Central Biomedia. Her work experience also includes several years in both equine and small animal private practice, in academia at Kansas State University, and in industry with JBS United Bionutrition and Flair, LLC. She has more than 60 published articles, abstracts and case reports to her credit.
