Kentucky Feed and Grain Facility Ordered into Mediation

Lawsuit has spent 12 years in court system

Both sides in a longstanding legal dispute involving an electrical shutdown at Lowe’s Feed and Grain, Bowling Green, KY, have been ordered into mediation, reports the Bowling Green Daily News.

Mill owner Don Lowe and former city electrical inspector Rick Maxwell have a chance to resolve their differences and reach a settlement at the mediation, which was directed to take place by Warren Circuit Judge John Grise.

A settlement could bring an end to a civil case that has spent 12 years in the court system.

The lawsuit has its roots in a 2002 power outage at Lowe’s Feed and Grain that kept the business closed for 17 months and led to Lowe laying off his employees.
