The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is planning a variety of free activities and networking opportunities for attendees. IPPE will be held Jan. 28 – 30, 2020 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

IPPE attendees are encouraged to stop by booths A246, B8647 and C9249 for daily TECHTalks. These short, educational exhibitor presentations address operations and technical issues critical to all aspects of the animal food, meat and poultry industries. The presentations will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28; 9:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29; and 9:20 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Attendees can also “Vote for Buyer’s Choice” at Event Zone, BC115, in the BC Hall. Exhibitors are showcasing their newest technology through IPPE's Innovation Station, and attendees can help determine the best of the best. Attendees are urged to visit these companies to see their new and exciting technologies firsthand...then vote! Voting is open during IPPE trade show hours beginning Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. and lasting until 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30.

A Poultry History Museum/Hall of Fame display can be viewed in booths BC503 and BC603, in the BC Hall. The display takes attendees back to the beginnings of the American poultry industry and describes how the industry became the world's largest producer of poultry products.

Attendees can also visit booth B8605 to see firsthand the iconic Oscar Meyer Weinermobile. Dating back to 1936, the vehicle has evolved through several generations of design to provide a reflection on the styles of the times.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, attendees can visit and pet a service dog in the A-Hall Feed Mill Lounge, booth A3037. The dogs are part of CAREing Paws, with CARE standing for Canines Assisting Rehabilitation and Education. Donations for CAREing Paws will be accepted at the Feed Mill Lounge by the organization.

IPPE is bringing back its Hot Wing Competition starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28 and is inviting attendees to see if they can stand the heat. Winners of each “Heat” will go on to compete by eating sequentially hotter wings. The competition will take place at the Event Zone, BC115, in the BC Hall.

The Welcome Reception at the Georgia Aquarium will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Complimentary tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis to all IPPE attendees. Tickets will be distributed at a special desk in the B-Building and C-Building lobbies on Monday and Tuesday of the Expo.

IPPE’s “Taste of IPPE” will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, and will bring together a group of highly competitive Atlanta chefs who will be preparing their favorite recipes featuring beef, pork and poultry. Attendees can try as many samples as possible and cast their vote for the “Taste of IPPE” at Event Zone, BC115, in the BC Hall. The “Taste of IPPE” award will be announced as soon as the competition is finished.
