An investigation is underway after a fire Sunday night destroyed a grain dryer at Collwest Grain in Collingwood, Ontrario.

According to reports, the fire started in the grain drying tower which was estimated to be 50- to 60-feet tall. There was corn in the dryer when the fire started.

Fire crews, including five trucks and 35 firefights, were on scene.

"We are in the process of evaluating the damage and developing a plan to service our customers for the rest of the corn harvest," Collwest Grain posted to social media following the fire. Collwest Grain is part of the Collingwood Grain Terminal.

No injuries were reported. While there is no damage estimate at this time, fire crews noted the grain dryer will have to be replaced.
