A new $130 million Zeeland Farm Services Ithaca, MI, processing plant is expected to be up and running by fall, reports The Morning Sun.

"Right now we are planning to be operational and start production in the fourth quarter of 2019, for the harvest," General Manager Eric Meeuwsen told The Morning Sun. "The grain elevator is nearing completion. The main processing plant is in heavy construction now, as are most all of the main buildings."

The facility, which will be the largest in Michigan, will be capable of processing 40 million bushels of soybeans annually.

When completed the plant will employ 74 full-time workers to start.
