Employee dies at ADM grain elevator in Illinois

Emergency personnel were called Tuesday morning after a 63-year-old man was found unresponsive.

A 63-year-old employee has died in an incident on October 25 at the ADM grain elevator in Seward, Illinois.

Emergency personnel were called Tuesday morning after the man was found unresponsive.

According to reports, Brian Lovett, from Winnebago, suffered cardiac arrest and fell onto one of the walkways at the top of the grain bin during an inspection.

Fire crews described Lovett as being on top of a large grain bin when he suffered the medical event. He then fell onto the conveyor system.

Someone was on the scaffolding between the two bins performing CPR on Lovett when crews arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
