After two years of offering a hybrid program, the GROWMARK/FS System welcomes its newest class of interns back in-person for the complete immersive experience.

During a rigorous application process, 74 interns were selected and are now working hands-on at GROWMARK and FS-company locations across North America.

Back in person

Kayla Tobias, GROWMARK senior manager of talent acquisition and member employment says the company is excited to be back to fully in-person with its internships this spring and summer.

"Our interns’ experiences in their day-to-day jobs is the most important piece of the programs," said Tobias.

"We want to give the students the opportunity to experience the inner workings of an agri-business and help them determine if this career path is right for them."

Students will be able to engage with industry professionals in-person on important projects and have the opportunity to clarify career goals, while the company is exposed some very talented students.

"These programs continue to be a key component in identifying and retaining top talent for the system," said Tobias.

Two tracks to take

There are two tracks: the GROWMARK Interns are exposed to accounting, marketing, and product and service-related activities. Each intern will complete a business-related project and deliver a presentation on their project at the conclusion of their internships.

Interns in the Exploring Agriculture program will be focused on operations, equipment & technology for scouting, assisting with facility and equipment maintenance & repair, and building professional relationships with FS locations and customers while learning the different products and services the GROWMARK System provides.
