The East Oregonian's George Plaven reported on Morrow County Grain Growers' plan to build an expansion at its grain elevator and barge loading terminal along the Columbia River in Boardman, OR. The company broke ground on the site of the rail unloading facility that will help relive rail congestion and allow the company to transfer grain from trains to barges at one site. The project received a $2.5 million state grant for the project, but the total price tag will cost $15 to $20 million.
