Food-grade soybean exporter SB&B Foods Inc. said it expects its shipments to the Philippines to triple in five years due to the increasing demand of Filipinos for more soy-based products, reports the Business Mirror.
SB&B President Robert B. Sinner notes the economic growth of the Philippines boosted the purchasing power of Filipino consumers and fueled the demand for food products.
SB&B, a fifth-generation family-owned farm and company based in North Dakota, currently exports about 1,000 metric tons of nongenetically modified organism and organic food-grade soybeans to the Philippines, Sinner said.
