Sunset Milling, a newly established rice processing company operating from the historic former site of Beaumont Rice Mills in Beaumont, has announced a strategic partnership with Tradewinds Software Corporation to implement RiceLink360 for its rough grain storage operations.
The Beaumont facility has long stood as a cornerstone of the Gulf Coast rice industry. Under Sunset Milling's leadership, the site enters a new era combining historic milling infrastructure with modern digital automation, real-time inventory visibility and integrated grain management systems.
RiceLink360 will provide Sunset Milling with comprehensive oversight of rough grain storage, scale operations, inventory movement and reporting. The platform enhances operational accuracy, strengthens traceability and improves coordination between storage, logistics and accounting functions, establishing a scalable operational framework from day one.
For Tradewinds Software Corporation, headquartered in Birmingham, AL, the partnership represents both continued strength across the Southeastern United States and a broader westward expansion strategy. With an established footprint supporting rice mills and grain facilities throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas, Tradewinds continues to extend its reach while maintaining its focus on practical, industry-driven automation.
"Bringing modern software infrastructure into a facility with this level of history is both significant and symbolic," said Jeremy Tidmore, director of operations and managing partner at Tradewinds Software Corporation. "This partnership not only supports Sunset Milling's growth but also reflects our continued expansion beyond our Southeast base and into new rice-producing markets."
