Dodge Industrial, Inc. has launched its new Sidewinder wrap coupling featuring patent-pending CoreStrike technology designed to balance strength and flexibility in demanding power transmission applications.
The new coupling provides enhanced wear resistance and increased element strength, contributing to longer service life in harsh industrial environments, according to company officials.
"With Sidewinder, we've focused on providing a differentiated product in a market that is full of competition," said Vance Chavis, Global Product Manager for Coupling at Dodge Industrial.
Dimensionally interchangeable with Falk Wrapflex, the Sidewinder allows customers to upgrade without equipment modifications. The design includes e-coated hubs and covers that provide superior corrosion protection.
"Through comprehensive testing, we've simulated some of the harshest operating conditions these couplings will experience," Chavis said. "We've proved that Sidewinder with its CoreStrike technology delivers, on average, 2.5 times longer service life compared to Falk Wrapflex."
The maintenance-free design eliminates routine service requirements, reducing operational costs for users in industries such as wastewater, chemical processing, and pulp and paper manufacturing.
