Mike Tate has been appointed president of Producer Ag, LLC, the grain marketing joint venture formed by CHS Inc. and Mid-Kansas Cooperative (MKC). He will assume the role on June 2, 2025, the company’s board of directors announced.

In his new position, Tate will oversee the day-to-day supply chain operations of Producer Ag, focusing on performance and profitability. He will also collaborate with the Producer Ag Board of Directors to establish the company's strategic direction.

Tate brings over two decades of experience from Bunge, where he held leadership positions in grain origination, operations, and supply chain management. Most recently, he served as director of origination, contributing to the development of origination strategy for Bunge’s U.S. grain assets and soy processing facilities. His tenure at Bunge also included roles as southern district manager, export facility manager in Louisiana, general manager of an ethanol facility, and district commercial manager in Mississippi.

“Mike’s deep and vast experience in grain operations, supply chain and asset management, as well as his close connection to customers throughout his career make him the ideal choice for this position,” said Brad Stedman, Producer Ag board chair and president and CEO of MKC. “This is a pivotal time for Producer Ag as we advance our mission to connect customers to grain markets worldwide. I am excited to welcome Mike to Producer Ag and work alongside him to position the joint venture for success.”

Producer Ag was established in 2023 by CHS and MKC. The joint venture aims to enhance the value of the cooperative supply chain in the Southern Plains by broadening market access and providing patronage-eligible options to optimize owner value for area farmers and cooperatives.

Tate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Louisiana State University and is a board member of the National Grain and Feed Association.
