Independently-owned software technology company, Bushel, announced an expansion of its ERP partnership network. The recent integration with Oakland Corporation’s FarmerData brings robust digital tools to Oakland's agribusiness staff and farmer customers.

Since its inception in 2017, Bushel has been at the forefront of developing digital tools for the agricultural supply chain. With a focus on collaborating with ERP software companies, Bushel has now partnered with over 15 such companies, streamlining workflows from retail sales to the grain contract process.

The integration with Oakland Corporation’s FarmerData marks a significant milestone for Bushel, providing agribusinesses and farmers with enhanced digital capabilities. Oakland customers can now benefit from more robust digital tools, empowering them to manage various aspects of their operations efficiently.

Bushel's platform is designed to handle customer account data, boost grain offers through digital enablement, and provide comprehensive contact management through various communication channels, including text messaging, emails, and push notifications.

These integrations not only make grain and ag retail data more accessible but also empower farmers through customer online portals. Farmers can now view cash bids, manage scale tickets, invoices, fuel and feed prepays, grain contracts, settlements, and more—all through a user-friendly online interface.

The first Oakland ERP customers to join the Bushel Network include:

  • 218 Grain: Based in Crawfordsville, IA, with one location
  • AgVantage FS: Based in Waverly, IA, with 41 locations
  • Farmers Cooperative Elevator (FAC): Based in Arcadia, IA, with four locations
  • Lesterville Grain & Feed: Based in Lesterville, SD, with two locations
  • Mid-Iowa Cooperative: Based in Conrad, IA, with 13 locations

Joel Benson, Data Integration Specialist at Mid-Iowa Cooperative, expressed optimism about joining the Bushel Network. He stated, "Joining the Bushel Network allows our staff to better engage with our farmer customers, with tools that enable us to better manage those relationships. It also will give our team a more holistic view of scale tickets and settlements, helping us with our efficiencies."

Oakland, with a strong market presence in Iowa and surrounding regions, aims to provide additional value to agribusinesses through commercial grain sales automation and ag retail sales enablement. The collaboration with Bushel aligns Oakland's services with the evolving digital landscape of the agricultural supply chain.

In the words of Ford Kirk, Director of Partnerships at Bushel, "Partnerships and ERP integrations are the crucial connections needed to create the efficiencies and digital experience agribusinesses expect today. By connecting with Oakland’s FarmerData API, Bushel not only strengthens its network but empowers agribusinesses to better digitally engage with their farmers and create more efficient operations for their staff."

Agribusinesses, including Oakland customers, can request a demo to explore the features of the Bushel platform and learn how it can enhance workflows and customer relationships in the agricultural sector. The digital era continues to reshape the agricultural landscape, making collaboration and digital infrastructure key components of success in the industry.
