The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has announced open registration for its 2025 Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training course.

The three-day program, scheduled for July 15-17 in Nashville, Tennessee, will cover Food Safety Modernization Act requirements for animal food, current good manufacturing practices, and animal food safety plans.

Gary Huddleston, AFIA's director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs, emphasized the importance of the training, stating, "PCQI training is essential for ensuring the safety and compliance of animal food manufacturing."

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate from the FSPCA, meeting FDA requirements for PCQI qualification.

The AFIA will also host an evening reception during the event.

Additionally, a PCQI refresher course is planned for December 9-10 in Nashville, with registration opening this summer.
