Civil case between Kentucky feed mill, former inspector continues

A civil case between a Bowling Green, KY, feed mill and a former city electrical inspector will return to Warren Circuit Court after the inspector won an appeal, vacating an $850,000 judgment against him according to a report at the Bowling Green Daily News.

The Kentucky Court of Appeals issued a ruling Friday in favor of Rick Maxwell, who appealed a 2016 Warren Circuit Court decision in which he was found to have acted in bad faith toward Lowe’s Feed and Grain and its owner, Don Lowe, when the mill lost power in 2002 following a storm.

Written by Kentucky Court of Appeals Judge James Lambert, the court’s ruling held that the conclusion reached by Warren Circuit Judge John Grise that Maxwell acted in bad faith was based in error.
