KETV-7’s Maggie Cunningham reported on an incident at the Farmer's Cooperative in Raymond, NE. A worker at the co-op, Dave Maier, entered a bin to check on a clogged auger, when the auger started up causing grain stuck to the side of the bin and buried him up to the waist in grain.

Maier’s Co-workers were able to free one of his legs, but with more grain coming down were unable to free him all the way. Rescue workers ended up cutting holes in the bin and using a vacuum to suck up grain, freeing the man. Maier is in stable condition at a local hospital, he was in the grain bin for two hours.
