An explosion inside of a grain silo at the Port of Lake Charles in Lake Charles, LA, has caused extensive damage to the structure. The elevator is on land rented by IFG Port Holdings, LLC, according to a story written by John Guidroz for the Lake Charles American Press.

The blast tore the top of the grain silo off, damaged nearby vehicles and blew open the doors a nearby building. Officials are also investigating whether debris from the top of the silo may have damaged a nearby building.

Luckily, no injuries were reported in relation to the explosion and all personnel have been accounted for. The explosion is under investigation by several groups but no cause has been released yet.
