David Geiger reported on the Chinese preference for U.S. soybeans for kcrg. The story talks with Zhang Xiaoping the China Director of the U.S. Soybean Export Council about the Machong Port in China, where soybeans are brought into China then sent downstream to crushing facilities.

Zhang explains that over the past 10 years the United States has made itself the preferred source of soybeans for Chinese companies. Citing consistent quality, efficient logistics, timely deliveries and accessibility, along with high digestible amino acids, sugar content, color and flavor.

Crushers hope that the current trade war with the United States will be short-lived, but are looking at other options in case it drags on.
