Of the 17 states reporting data, the bulk of the winter wheat in the United States was at 29% fair and 48.1% good, reports The Western Producer.

The rest of those states’ crops stood at 4.2% very poor, 12.1% poor and 7.2% excellent, according to the state stories report issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture last week.

Those states comprised approximately 15.6 million acres of winter wheat, which was a little more than half of the area estimated to have been planted for 2020 throughout the US.
