Coronavirus continues to impact stocks and commodities, but there are other issues involved when it comes to the wheat market, reports AgWeb.

There’s also a problem in Africa with locusts. Massive swarms of desert locusts are eating their way through East Africa. The number of them continues to grow. The fears of food security do as well.

According to the United Nations, the swarms could multiply as much as 500 times by June.

“Nobody is really talking about this locust issue but it is devastating a lot of the crops there,” Mark Gold, founder of Top Third Ag Marketing, told AgWeb.
