Company sent office staff home because of COVID-19 just as China trade deal created demand for its product

You know the hustle and bustle of a trading floor. The quick decisions, the buying and selling. It might be hard to pull off stuck at home during quarantine.

But it's exactly what the 125-year-old Scoular Company did when the pandemic hit Omaha, reports KETV.

Paul Maass, Scoular's grain business chief executive, credits networking technology like Microsoft Teams for the company's success managing through the disruption.

Thirty percent of Scoular's workforce is back in its downtown headquarters, like those running the trading floor. Masks and social distancing are now part of life in the office.
