Statement from U.S. Grains Council (USGC) President and CEO Tom Sleight on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt’s comments on U.S. ethanol export policy:
“We are encouraged by EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s comments this week that the Administration does not intend to pursue changes to RINs regulations and ethanol exports. U.S. ethanol is competitive on the global stage though it faces several emerging policy issues in key markets. The Administration’s approach of keeping RINs and ethanol export policies separate is a positive outcome for our ongoing efforts to expand U.S. ethanol exports globally.”
