ANDRITZ has announced the introduction of a wide-ranging portfolio of automation and digitalization solutions for the feed industry under its Metris digital platform. The platform, evolving and universally compatible, aims to enable fully autonomous feed plant operations by 2027.

ANDRITZ’s Metris platform is designed to support operational efficiency, resilience, readiness, and sustainability in feed processing.

Key aspects of the Metris platform include:

  1. Operational efficiency: ANDRITZ offers digital technologies for process optimization, asset management, operator training, and knowledge management. This holistic approach is expected to enhance profitability and reduce the total cost of ownership for feed producers. The platform has already led to throughput increases of 7% to 16% in various industries.

  2. Operational resilience: ANDRITZ, in collaboration with its in-house cyber security solutions provider OTORIO, ensures robust protection against cyber threats. This includes full visibility across all assets and operations, aligning with IEC 62443 standards for IT-OT convergence and digital risk mitigation.

  3. Operational readiness: Utilizing simulation-based engineering and digital twin technology, ANDRITZ aims to shorten ramp-up times and resolve up to 90% of potential issues before on-site commissioning. This approach has historically shortened ramp-up times by up to 20% in various industries.

These solutions help in identifying malfunctions early and maintaining asset integrity, thus minimizing production disruptions.
