Combines continue to sit idle because crops aren't ready, fields too wet

According to Successful Farming, U.S. farmers continue to see their combines sitting idle, because either the crop isn’t ready or the fields are too wet.

In its weekly Crop Progress Report, the USDA pegged the U.S. corn harvest at 11% complete vs. an 19% five-year average.

The amount of soybeans harvested equal 7% of the crop, below a 20% five-year average.
