A Vermont company has purchased an 131-year-old grain mill in St. Johnsbury, VT, that it plans to turn into an industrial hemp processing facility.
The deal for the E.T. & H.K. Ide property was finalized this week, the Caledonian Record reported. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cousins Brandon McFarlane, CEO of Zion Growers, and Chief Operating Officer Travis Samuels told a group gathered to celebrate the deal on Monday that it took a team to get to the point of buying the property and it will take a team to get the hemp business operating.
