NGFA's McCluer Named Co-Chair of NORA AgFF Sector Council

Council brings together individuals, organizations to share information, form partnerships and promote health and safety solutions

Jess McCluer, National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) vice president of safety and regulatory affairs, has been named new co-chair of the National Occupational Research Agenda Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Sector Council (NORA AgFF Sector Council).

“I’m honored to serve as co-chair of NORA AgFF Sector Council and look forward to continued collaboration and partnerships that have been the foundation the Council’s excellent work in protecting the safety of workers serving a critical role in providing food, fuel, and fiber for the United States and around the globe,” says McCluer in a press release.

“During my time on the council, I will strive to continue the advancement of NORA’s vital mission to achieve sustained improvements in workplace practice.”

McCluer also serves as chair on the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) which seeks to proactively address ongoing and emerging occupational safety and health issues affecting all facets of U.S. agriculture.

The NORA Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing Council brings together individuals and organizations to share information, form partnerships and promote adoption and dissemination of health and safety solutions.

NORA uses councils made up of a diverse group of stakeholders (academia, industry, government, etc.) to define and meet high priority needs and develop agendas for research, policy, and practice.

The council also seeks to facilitate the most important research, understand the most effective intervention strategies, and learn how to implement those strategies to achieve sustained improvements in workplace practice.
