IPPE TECHTalk: How to Minimize Dust & Debris

Sweet Mfg. discusses how enclosed belt conveyors can benefit your processing plant

Sweet thumbnail

During this TECHTalk, Sweet Mfg. explains how enclosed belt conveyors help to minimize dust and debris from ingredients and raw materials that can permeate the air in your processing plant.

The enclosed belt conveyor contains the feed, grain, or other materials within an enclosed load skirt system, and captures much of the material in the discharge area to avoid pileups in the equipment below. This also prevents loss of product, along with belt scrapers in the head that reduce carryover towards the tail.

The conveyor can be made of stainless steel for food safety. Enclosed belt conveyors also typically include self-cleaning tails and wing pulleys with reclaim flaps for better clean-out in the tail.
