The International Production & Processing Expo has gone virtual this year, and while we may not meet and talk to old friends, there are a lot of bright sides to this year's unique format.

IPPE's virtual Marketplace will feature more than 70 innovative products and services as part of the Innovation Station/New Product Showcase. A list of the featured innovative products and services can be found here and will be available for viewing through the IPPE Marketplace the week.

Participation in the IPPE Marketplace is free for attendees. However, personal guides for the IPPE Marketplace must be requested to access the Innovation Station/New Product Showcase and other events and education programs. Information about requesting a personal guide can be found on the IPPE website at ippexpo.org.

Some of our favorites this year:

  • T2/HT2-V AQUA from VICAM
T2/HT2-V AQUA is a fully quantitative, solvent-free rapid strip test for the combination of T-2 and HT-2 toxins in cereal grains and other feed raw materials. T2/HT2-V AQUA completes our Myco 5-in-1 PLUS capability, which delivers fully quantitative results for up to 6 mycotoxins in just 10 minutes using a single sample extraction, which saves our users up to 80% in time and consumables costs while improving safety by eliminating organic solvent use outside of the laboratory testing environment.
  • Sprout 26XW Pellet Mill featuring Auto Roll Adjust from Andritz
The next step in the evolution of the automated pellet mill is the Hydraulic Auto Roll Adjust feature now available on the Sprout 26XW Pellet Mill. This new feature allows for roll to die clearance to be adjusted remotely while decreasing shaft stress and reducing power consumption.
  • Hybrid Automatic and Semi-Automatic Ingredient Batching System from Sterling Systems & Controls, Inc.
Batching ingredients together is a key step in many industries, including feed manufacturing. Usually, this batching process is either done manually or by an automatic or semi-automatic batching system. Some industry applications, such as feed manufacturing, require a combination of automatic and semi-automatic ingredient additions. Semi-automatic ingredient additions, also known as "hand adds," usually exist because their inclusion is infrequent.
  • Flite-Veyor® Low Profile Drag Conveyor from Sweet Mfg. Co.
The new Flite-Veyor® Low Profile Drag Conveyor is designed for capacities up to 7,750 BPH (198 MTPH) and provides a new conveyor option to run under the bin floor with Silver-Sweet® Bucket Elevators in the handling of feed. The new line functions as a reclaiming system to minimize the use of tall and expensive grain bin stem walls. Available in 1012 and 1812 models, it is easy to install and maintain. The conveyor ships with preassembled trough sections to reduce installation time.
  • DCMA- NIR Technology from Bühler Inc.
This TechTalk will cover Bühler's new in-line NIR technology, the DCMA. Feed millers are under constant pressure to achieve production targets such as stable nutrition, constant feed quality, low production costs as well as high throughputs. Different origin and state of raw material, storage, climate and many other factors, however, cause further challenges to meet these production targets. Bühler's NIR-Sensor DCMA offers a complete system to measure the entire process and optimize nutritional values in real time in order to better achieve the desired production targets.
