CHS Closes South Sioux City, IA, Plant

TY Rushing for the Sioux City Journal reported on CHS Inc.'s closer of a soy protein plant in South Sioux City, IA. Citing a financial plan design to increase flexibility for the company, CHS has decided to sell the plant to new owners. A deal is reportedly in the works with a Fortune 500 company and is anticipated to be completed sometime in January 2018. In the meantime, the closure of the plant eliminated 63 jobs.
