This webinar will broadcast at 9:00 AM CST (Chicago) / 3:00 PM GMT (London) / 11:00 PM CST (Beijing).
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- Rethinking phytate: from anti-nutrient to nutrient reservoir. How phytate management and limestone characteristics shape zinc availability in broiler diets.
- Programming lifetime performance during the starter phase through targeted trace mineral nutrition that supports gut integrity, immunity, skeletal development and early growth.
- The importance of zinc source in high-phytate feeding systems, and how zinc source selection affects mineral availability, utilization and broiler performance.
- Redefining zinc requirements in modern broiler production, using advanced nutritional strategies that maximize the value of phytate-bound minerals and improve zinc efficiency.
This webinar is sponsored by Zinpro and presented by WATTPoultry and Feed Strategy.
Speaker Information:

Dr. Kyle Venter completed his academic studies at the University of Pretoria and is currently Innovation Manager at Neuro Livestock Research (NLR), where he focuses on broiler nutrition and production. His interest in minerals began with his PhD, which centered on the determination and evaluation of dCa and dP in broilers. He has been an invited speaker on numerous international stages. His research has earned multiple awards, including the Soil Science International Merit Award for his work in reducing phosphorus excretion in the environment and his contributions to sustainability. Kyle also holds an adjunct position on the faculty of the University of Pretoria. His core research spans a holistic view of mineral nutrition, trace mineral nutrition, nutrient digestibility, fundamental nutrition, amino acid research and feed additives. The research conducted at NLR aims to improve broiler sustainability, profitability and longevity into the future.

Cibele Torres, PhD, joined Zinpro Corporation in 2018 as a Poultry Technical Services and Nutrition Specialist. She holds a DVM and M.S. from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Poultry Science from the University of Alberta, Canada. Based in Spain, she leads poultry research programmes in collaboration with leading research institutions and conducts field evaluations and technical support activities across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, South Africa, and Russia, with a focus on broiler, broiler breeder, and layer nutrition. She has authored several scientific and technical publications and works closely with customers to translate research findings into practical field solutions.

Austin Jasek, PhD, joined Zinpro Corporation in 2019 as a technical account manager, poultry. Austin’s work focuses on poultry nutrition and research across the broiler, layer, broiler breeder and turkey markets within North America. He serves on multiple graduate student committees, contributes to organizing the Arkansas Nutrition Conference, and has published multiple research articles. In 2019, Austin received his Doctor of Philosophy in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University (TAMU) with a focus on poultry nutrition. At TAMU, his research centered on the effects of feed additives on growth performance of broilers and layer performance. Austin is based in Northwest Arkansas.
