From sustainability initiatives to economic constraints, the value of alternative animal feed ingredients has never been more apparent - nor their utilization more necessary. However, the inconsistent availability of many of these alternative ingredients presents formulation challenges for nutritionists. Variability within individual ingredients – such as the waste streams from which bakery by-products are derived – can create considerable obstacles to producing the nutritional uniformity that is so critical to complete diets. Being able to maintain tighter control over these feed ingredients can significantly improve final product quality. One way to accomplish this is with FT-NIR technology - a rapid method of analysis that allows for the nutritional profiles of raw materials to be easily measured. With FT-NIR, feed manufacturers can realize greater sorting, blending, and formulation control.

Bruker Sponsored 200x200 1506During this exclusive webinar, Dr. Cassandre Juzaitis-Boelter, Applications Specialist for the Bruker Optics division will discuss how FT-NIR unleashes the potential of alternative ingredients by verifying that their dietary inclusions result in a more consistent, higher-quality product.

This webinar will broadcast at 10:00 AM CDT (Chicago) / 4:00 PM BST (London) / 11:00 PM CST (Beijing).

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  1. How FT-NIR brings sustainability measures to fruition across the food and agricultural industries.
  2. Alternative ingredients: How FT-NIR works to overcome feed ingredient variability
  3. How to create value using reprocessed materials
  4. Cutting more than ingredient costs: FT-NIR is cost-efficient quality control.

This webinar is sponsored by Bruker Optics and presented by Feed & Grain, and Feed Strategy.
