Hallie Gu and Shivani Singh contributed to an article by Reuters and published at Nasdaq, about lowered soybean import estimates from China. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said in its monthly crop report that it was lowering its estimate 1.84 million tonnes to 98.6 million tonnes due to a decline in crush margins.

Importers are also delaying purchases until the 2021 harvest, when they expect the price of soybeans to fall. China's soybean imports and consumption in 2021/22 remain unchanged.
