Sharpe Farm Supplies Ltd. of Guelph has purchased the former Hensall Co-op elevators at Swinton Park, ON, and plans to add new bins, reports The Toronto Star.
Paul Sharpe, one of three sons who now head the family-run business started by their parents in 1986 said they plan to put up three bins this summer to add 8,000 tonnes capacity. Two will be used for wheat and one for soybeans. They will also be adding a cleaning system.
There will also be a food-grade soybean system added with a premium.
