Through its seminar program, The Poultry & Egg Institute of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association works to ensure that the poultry industry receives the most up-to-date information about the various topics that impact it.
The 2008 Hatchery-Breeder Clinic is a valuable source for staying up to date on issues that affect poultry and egg businesses. The seminar will be held July 15-16 at The Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Ala. The program was developed by a panel of industry professionals, including Kimber Ward, chairman, Mountaire Farms; Jason Anderson, Pilgrim’s Pride; Dr. John Blake, Auburn University; Glen Cooley, Marshall Durbin; Pat Hawkins, Tyson Foods; Nath Morris, Perdue Farms/Heritage Breeders; Skipper Sprayberry, Peco Foods; and Dr. Jeanna Wilson, University of Georgia.
The seminar is a valuable opportunity to learn ways to increase performance and quality throughout your hatchery-breeder operation. It will address such topics as Approaches to Controlling Aspergillus, Recognizing True Fertility vs. Early Mortality, Optimizing Heavy Breed Hatch, Hatchery Waste Alternatives, Innovative Feed Cost Saving Opportunities, and Making Every Bird Count in Your Hatchery and Breeder Operation. The cost to attend the seminar is $100 for USPOULTRY members and $200 for non-members.
