Using Smartphones at Load Out
This is a quick example of how mobile isn't about squishing a website or CRM into a mobile app. It is about transforming workflows. The example featured is an app developed by Lextech for LoadOut Technologies.
While a farm may be one of the last places you expect to see an iPhone, the iPhone app Lextech developed for LoadOut to control the grain loading process is expected to have applications not only in the farming community, but in many other commodity transportation environments as well.
With the new mobile app, LoadOut drivers can control the entire grain loading process, which was previously labor intensive and dirty, from inside the cab. As a result of reduced labor requirements, more trucks are on the road and driver safety is significantly improved.
