Charges Considered in Bartlett Grain Elevator Blast
A year and a half after a Kansas grain elevator explosion killed six workers, federal prosecutors now are considering criminal charges against the Kansas City-based owners.
Bartlett Grain or its top officials should be held criminally liable for the deaths at the company’s Atchison, Kan. elevator, say federal workplace safety officials who have referred the case for criminal prosecution.
But that doesn’t mean a criminal case will be filed.
