TARGAN named NC Tech’s 2023 Industry Driven AgTech Company

The company manufactures hatchery automation technology designed to speed the vaccination process.

TARGAN, manufacturer of hatchery automation technology, was recognized November 1 as the 2023 Industry Driven AgTech Company at the annual NC TECH Awards.

“TARGAN is dedicated to driving industry change by creating new capabilities in AgTech,” said Ramin Karimpour, TARGAN CEO. “We thank NC TECH for this recognition and our team for their commitment to developing innovative solutions that improve performance and production so that we can help feed the world more sustainably.

The NC TECH Awards are designed to honor companies and individuals that demonstrate growth, innovation and leadership.

Formerly known as Applied LifeSciences & Systems, the TARGAN system can individually vaccinate up to 100,000 chicks per hour against coccidiosis, infectious bronchitis and Newcastle disease. The technology platform, which incorporates high-speed imaging, artificial intelligence, robotics and microfluidics, was one of the innovations highlighted at the 2020 Virtual Poultry Tech Summit

TARGAN recently announced a multi-year partnership with Wayne-Sanderson Farms to install its hatchery automation technology at multiple broiler hatcheries across the U.S. The company is also a sponsor of the 2023 Poultry Tech Summit.
