KIWA radio reported on a mysterious and potentially dangerous situation at the Land O’Lakes Purina Feed Division feed mill in Sheldon, IA. An employees at the facility found a pile of embers at the base of their air pickup for the filtration system along with smoke. The facility was quickly evacuated and the fire department called. The fire department checked all 50 of the dust bags there was no sign of any more embers, and the cause of the original pile and the smoke is still unknown. Land O’Lakes personnel are currently investigating the incident to determine what happened.
