A three-day effort to put out a grain bin fire at Agtegra in Bowdle, SD, ended on March 11, reports Aberdeen News.

The fire was reported about noon on March 8, according to Sergio Hernandez, Agtegra Central Location manager, who provided information by email.

Hernandez said the incident began with a report of smoke coming out of a roof exhaust fanThr and a ground-level fan from one of the 13 grain bins at the site.

The bin wasn’t full, he reported, but there was quite a bit of corn inside. Firefighters were working “around the clock” to remove it.
