- Fast-paced design-build project added 1.6 million bushels of capacity
- Slipformed silo walls cast monolithically (no joints), requiring over 2,700 yards of concrete
- Loads grain from the silos to rail cars at a rate of 70,000 bushels/hour (equivalent to 18 rail cars/hour)
- Supported on concrete filled pipe piles with a capacity of 150 tons each and 2’-6” thick pile caps
- The 34-foot diameter silos are constructed with 7 1/2-in. thick concrete walls and the 70-foot diameter silos have 11 inch thick concrete walls
- Silo walls are 120 feet tall and contain over 2,700 cubic yards of slipformed concrete
