Chris Broderson, PE and Vlad Dain, PE, P.Eng, LEED AP, have been promoted to Partner at VAA, a multidiscipline engineering firm located in the Twin Cities.
Broderson and Dain are relative newcomers having joined the firm in 2012 and 2011 respectively. The Partner promotions are the result of their tenacity to continually do more. Broderson provides structural analyses and design solutions for large-scale bulk-handling facilities in VAA’s Agribusiness and Industrial sectors. His ability to communicate complicated structural systems in terms of basic principles is an asset as he oversees construction document preparation for major projects. As the Mechanical Department Manager, Dain continues to expand the group’s capabilities in balance-of-plant design, industrial piping, process cooling / heating and HVAC. When Dain joined the firm, he was the sole member of the Department. Through his tireless drive, the group has steadily grown into a team of engineers and designers that collaborate with clients and contractors on multidiscipline industrial designs.
The emphasis on employees is evident as they mentor others by offering advice, promote open communication and shared problem solving. “I have witnessed the daily interactions of Broderson and Dain and observed sincerity,” said VAA CEO, Jeff Schrock. “Each embodies the meaning of team as they make it a priority in their technical work and contributions to our culture.”
