“Kevin’s excellent insights into markets and strong background in trade made him a valued member of our international staff,” said Cary Sifferath, USGC senior director of global programs. “He helped enhance the Council’s overall global market development programs in a highly competitive marketplace.”

Roepke joined the Council in 2011 as the manager of global trade before becoming the director of trade development in the USGC China office in January 2014. Later that year, he was promoted to his current position as the regional director of South and Southeast Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this position, Roepke identified and addressed trade, technical and policy factors relevant to building and maintaining the market for U.S. feed grains and co-products.

“We have enjoyed working with Kevin in several roles over the years and appreciate the new ideas and strategic programming he brought to the South and Southeast Region,” Sifferath said. “We look forward to working with him and USSEC on trade issues and programs throughout the Latin American region.”

Roepke’s last day with the Council is Aug. 11. Please join the Council in wishing him the best of luck in his new role!
